Gluten-Free Sourdough Discard Cheez-Its

Crispy, salty gluten-free crackers made with sourdough discard. Easy, quick, and incredibly addictive.

Ingredients
  

  • 200 grams gluten-free sourdough starter discard
  • 1 - 1 1/2 cups finely shredded cheddar or tolerated cheese
  • 2 tbsp melted butter cooled

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350. Line a baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Mix the discard, cheese, and melted butter.
  3. Add water, a little at a time, until the mixture is thin enough to spread almost transparent on the pan.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly on the parchment.
  5. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes.
  6. Score with a pizza cutter and poke holes with a skewer if desired.
  7. Bake another 20 to 30 minutes until golden brown and crisp.
  8. Break apart at the score lines.

Notes

Use dairy-free shredded cheese if needed.
